This ranking highlights the 10 most influential sports brands in Germany, across all categories — from clubs to apps, clothing, events and gyms.
Gymondo in the lead: the fitness influence made in Germany
Gymondo, the German online fitness and nutrition platform, is establishing itself as the leader in sports applications on Instagram. Thanks to a sustainable and community-based influence strategy, the brand generated €3.3 million in EMV via more than 5,500 pieces of content created by 650 KOLs. Gymondo relies on long-term partnerships, based on three pillars: influencers for conversion, celebrities for fame, and coaches for credibility. A positioning that combines performance and authenticity, reinforced by the creation of exclusive programs in co-creation with the creators themselves.
But Gymondo is not alone in shining: in Germany, local brands also dominate fashion and sports nutrition. Seven of the top ten sportswear brands are German, despite the massive presence of Adidas. Smilodox, for example, climbed to 2nd place with over 170 million ranges. In nutrition, More Nutrition explodes the counters with €108.7 million in EMV, while Ahead Nutrition shows that relevant KOL targeting can make a difference. As for events, the Bundesliga reigns unsurprisingly with an EMV of €44.5 million, three times higher than that of the NBA. German sporting influence is doing well — local, strategic and extremely effective.
