Top 10 TikTok Influencers in 2022

2022 was a successful year for TikTok and the influencers on the app. The platform for short videos has long since outgrown its infancy of dance videos and is attracting users and brands alike with rapidly and steadily increasing downloads. At the beginning of the new year 2023, we ask ourselves what was important for the app in 2022 and which top 10 influencers dominated the network that year..

Key Takeaways

  • In 2022, TikTok’s user base grew to as many as one billion daily active users.
  • The top ten influencers on TikTok include Khaby Lame, Charli D’Amelio, and Addison Rae.

Before presenting the top 10 influencers on TikTok, we will give you key statistics about the platform. From a few million users in 2018, an average of one billion people used TikTok every month in 2022. TikTok is no longer just for teenagers who like to dance in front of the camera to a pop hit. Instead, the app has become a major player in the social media world, with more and more companies discovering its potential – much to the chagrin of direct competitors, like Instagram or YouTube.

On TikTok, people would learn tips that make life easier, be able to cook their way through culinary adventures, or discover stories from books, among other things, TikTok says on its blog.

Chief Operating Officer at TikTok Vanessa Pappas states: “We’re honored to celebrate our global community who shaped this year’s trends, shared new ideas, learned from one another, and turned their passions into careers and livelihoods throughout 2022. It’s been truly inspiring to see over a billion people around the world show their creativity and come together to experience joy and find a sense of belonging on TikTok.”
